It was in too poor a shape to be useful so we decided to sacrifice it further and cut off a section in order to replicate the silk and recolour it to this gorgeous turquoise and wine colour

It is very similar to the starched version being 2½in high on the front point

The front panel is fixed at the waist but the remainder is loose so can be gathered onto the draw cord

It is an excellent very soft brushed 100% cotton and they have been made up using dyeable cotton thread

They are fully machine washable and are designed to close with 3 dress studs
