Description
The palate is sharp on the entry
Roberto Voerzio describes 2008 as a year that was cold from start to finish
floral and earthy charms
concentrated yet impressively refined wine with plenty of inner mouth perfume as well as an abundance of palate coating old vine sap that serves to cushion the still quite firm tannic spine on the strikingly persistent finish
firm and ever-so-mildly austere finale
Georges Mugneret Gibourg, Nuits Saint Georges Chaignots other_regions_italy The palate is sharp onSubtle but not invisible wood frames the violet, spice and earth suffused cassis and plum scented nose. The velvety and exceptionally rich flavors possess a different and more seductive texture than usual if perhaps a bit less minerality, all wrapped in a firm, serious and youthfully austere finish. Patience required but this is very promising.
