The skidplate is the sacrificial layer between the chassis and whatever the truck lands on. It takes the gouging from rocks, curbs, and hard landings so the aluminum chassis underneath stays flat and true. Skidplates are meant to wear out; replacing one is far cheaper than replacing a scored chassis. Fits: Traxxas Sledge (95096 4). Direct replacement for the factory skidplate.
