La Closerie des Lys "Les Fruitières Blanc", 2020 Manduria the "Sidekick" line is madeLychee, melon, saline, white flowers. Soft + velvety palate with lime kaffir, daffodils and honeycomb on an apricot finish. Blend of mostly Mauzac and Chardonnay, with 10% each of Chenin Blanc and Sauvignon Blanc. Limoux is the birthplace of the varietal Mauzac, although it has been declining in plantings. The vineyards of Closerie des Lys lie 50 miles south of the old walled town of Carcassonne in the Pyrenean foothills by the village of Antugnac.
