Enough wood to merit pointing out is present on the vaguely exotic nose of apple compote

I was surprised though by the absence of the usual excellent complexity though it’s entirely possible that this will develop more than I presently imagine with time in bottle

It’s drinking beautifully right now

Donnhoff, Oberhauser Brucke Riesling Auslese Vintage:2007 Enough wood to merit pointing(for 375 ml.) Rich golden yellow. Passion fruit, a floral nuance and a bit of licorice on the nose. Pineapple and honey give way to brisk spicy acidity on the palate. A well balanced, vivid auslese that finishes smoky and long, with an almost salty minerality. Joel B. Payne
