Description
The Colorino grape adds noticeable lift and buoyancy in this vintage
The wine is aged in very mild oak in order to maintain the purity of the fruit and the robust tannins that come naturally to it
I very much like the texture to the nicely dense medium-bodied flavors that possess a noticeably finer mouthfeel if not the same power on the bone-dry
Like the Masures the nose is quite restrained and only reluctantly reveals notes of cool citrus and more elegant white fleshed fruit and petrol aromas
and regret not having had the chance to taste it from the foudre
Philipponnat, Les Cintres Size:6x750ml The Colorino grape adds noticeableSourced from a small plot inside the famous sun drenched Clos des Goisses in Mareuil sur A, east of Epernay, this Champagne is composed of 70% Pinot Noir and 30% Chardonnay. The nose is very expressive, all fruit and brioche. It has spent time in oak barrels, giving a light smoky note to the full bodied, vinous palate. A magnificent freshness pervades on the long finish. Lobster seems the right choice for a Champagne of such powerful expression.
