Herefter samles masker op p hver side af denne firkant, og der strikkes indtagninger langs ansigtsbningen. Balaclavaen strikkes herefter lige ned for til sidst at samles svarende til under hagen for at strikkes rundt, inden den deles i et for og et bagstykke. Til sidst strikkes en ribkant i ansigtsbningen og en i cordkant langs nederste kant.
