2014 Mayacamas Golden Hill Cabernet Sauvignon 2007 pale straw in colorWine offers up rich fruit with layers of mint and earth adding complexity on the powerful mid palate that leads to a long, fine finish. Golden Hill is a 2 acre vineyard block planted at Mayacamas by Robert Travers in 1989. Grown in fractured volcanic soils. Aged for 32 months in neutral oak, 20 months in 600 gallon foudre and 12 months in barrique with additional bottle age for 12 months.
